SEPTEMBER 18, Week 1 (Friday online class)

LETTER FROM TEACHER:

Hi CCS Computer Science students!

It was great meeting you in the first class.  Looking forward to our in-person session next week for Friday classes at Bethel.  Bring your laptop if you are attending in-person.  For those students attending remotely for that session, I will have a Zoom session up and will be speaking both to the in-person class as well as the Zoom participants.

For any student who missed the first class, I will be in touch to help get your Python repl up and running and connected/configured to be part of our class 'team' in repl.it.  We basically did class intros, framed up how programming fits in the broader world of computers, then dove in to getting a development environment set up for each student, then ran a sample Python program to ensure that it worked.

Remember to get set up with Google Classroom for this class from the link that was sent to you yesterday.  Additionally, remember to send me the student's email address if you want them included on class email communications or to be invited to Google Classroom using that separate email id.

Assignments are posted in Google Classroom for this week.  Reach out to me if you need help.  This will be a challenging class in computer programming!  (Probably about 4 hours of work each week.)
