PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Nancy Juday

Dear CCS Families,

Welcome back to our decennial year at CCS.  I hope you have had an opportunity to read and discuss the Participation Contract and I have a few reminders as we begin the year:

All our rules are based on safety for our children and courtesy to all involved with CCS.  It is critically important to demonstrate courtesy to our host church, Calvary Baptist Church.  We are guests and at the very least, we must always remember to obey all signs in the building and parking areas, eat and drink only in Parker Hall, and leave all areas of the building as we found them.

Just as important is showing courtesy to teachers and other students by being prepared for class with the assignments completed and being on time.  Walking into a classroom late is a distraction to the teacher and other students.  Furthermore, parents play an invaluable role by ensuring that their children are completing assignments thoroughly and by the dates assigned.

Reading email is a vital responsibility of the parents.  Email is the only way the school and the teachers have to communicate with you about important school matters.

In order to ensure we have a safe environment for all, children may never be outside without adult supervision and parents must know where their children are at all times.

Finally, it is helpful for your younger children to have their CCS schedules with them the first few weeks of class.  This email includes a blank schedule for you to use, or you may want to create your own version.  It is important for students to have these with them at the beginning of the year as they get used to the building and their schedules.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact me either at school or by email at nancyjuday@earthlink.net.

Have a great year!
