Yesterday when I asked the students to send their assignments to me via email in pdf format, they were pretty intimidated. I've come up with an easier way. I have create a Google Drive classroom for the students to easily create and submit their writing assignments. All they need to do is open the folder for the current week and within that folder each student has a blank google doc with his/her name. They can just open the doc with their name and complete their assignment there. This should be easier for all of us. Below is is link to the classroom.
It was so wonderful to see everyone last week. For this Friday's class, students should have the yellow folders I handed out it class. All of the materials they need should be in the folder, so no printing at home should be necessary. Students should hold onto this week's homework and bring it to class next week. I will be setting up a Google Drive page for future submissions and will explain in class on Friday how students should submit their assignments online.
Below are the links to our classes. The first one is the one we will use for our virtual classes. Even though the time says 1:00, class actually begins at 1:30. I'll open the room about 1:15. The other link is for our Thursday class. Thursday classes begin at 12:50 and will only be recorded it if a student is absent.
I'm looking forward to "seeing" everyone on Friday.
