At Classical Cottage School, we encourage you to visit our school and any classes you would like to observe as you make decisions regarding your child(ren)’s future education. Please wait until January to visit as that coordinates well with our registration season. We ask that you carefully plan your visit. While your older children are welcome to visit with you, we request that you do not bring small children. Please quietly enter and leave any class you will only be sitting in for a portion of class time so as not to disrupt the teacher and students. Also, please be aware that we follow room capacity guidelines due to the school fire code. A teacher may ask for you to step outside if your attendance makes the class over this capacity.
Please email Margie Lung by the Friday before the class day you wish to visit. This will allow the necessary time to provide you documentation to orient you to our building. Teachers are aware that they will have visitors. Please enter and leave each class quietly. The teacher most likely will not have time to answer questions after class as they have other classes to attend. Some classes are unavailable for visitors due to room capacity fire codes. This school year masks are required.
Before requesting a visit, we kindly ask that you do a careful study of our website and review all of the information provided there. Our classical education philosophy differs from other approaches so it is important that you understand our philosophy to make an informed decision regarding your interest in Classical Cottage School.
Also, please refer to our yearly school calendar and take note of our snow cancellation policy on our website when planning your visit and to determine if our classes are cancelled or being held the day you plan to visit.
